Our Approach

At Phoenix Community Acupuncture our intention is to make acupuncture available to as many people as possible at the most affordable rates possible.

In Asia acupuncture has traditionally been practiced in a group setting rather than in private treatment rooms. There are many benefits to group acupuncture (also known as community acupuncture) chief among them accessibility. In the US private treatments can cost upwards of $100 a session and are rarely covered by insurance. This is more than most people can afford and thus will limit their ability to partake or come as often as needed. Acupuncture is most effective when received frequently until your health improves. Our community treatment room and sliding scale payment option allows you to come in often enough to see positive results, regardless of insurance.

In our clinic, patients are treated in reclining chairs spaced six feet apart with privacy curtains in a shared, comfortable, soothing space. Treating patients in a community setting has many benefits:

  • Patients find the recliners extremely comfortable,

  • Friends & family members can come in for treatment together,

  • Many patients find it comforting and powerful to experience treatment in a shared space,

  • We can provide high quality, effective, treatments at a low cost to our community.

We practice highly effective and gentle methods of acupuncture in which we select points on the hands, feet, head, and ears to treat patients. They are then welcome to relax comfortably in their recliner for the course of treatment and even take a nap.

We’re so excited your here and can’t wait to meet you!

WELCOME TO THE COMMUNITY!

Her particular interests are pain, emotional syndromes, and women’s health. She’s always pursuing new techniques she can bring into the clinic. In her “spare” time she’s balancing life with her two kids.

  • Secretary

As soon as Deborah Nardozzi arrived in Arizona in 2007, she settled down—starting her own business, buying a house, and starting a family. She has now lived in Arizona longer than any other state and claims it as her home.

Before Deborah moved to Arizona, she had lived in Illinois, Texas, California, Oregon, Washington State, Hawaii, New Jersey, and New Mexico. Deborah’s role as president of her personal assistant company allows her to be fully submersed in Phoenix metro events and nonprofits, including being a board member of Phoenix Community Acupuncture. She has also been a volunteer instructor for the Scottsdale-led Community Emergency Response Team training, a FEMA program that prepares ordinary citizens to respond to disasters such as major flash floods or lengthy summer power outages.

Deborah hopes to continue her work of meeting with neighbors across the valley and having open conversations about healthcare as a proud board member of Phoenix Community Acupuncture.
